Portrait of a Traditional Georgian Fighter

8.00 12.00

Here is another Georgian man from Kutaisi wearing his all black chokha. The bullet holders are called masri and would often hold decorations instead of bullets. Again the pistol and sword are worn on the belt. The all black version is said to have been reserved for generals and other high ranking members of society.

The card is well worn and the colors have faded, but the subject is still fantastic.

Cabinet card measures 2.5" x 4"
