Where are you located?
The answer has changed frequently over the years! I am currently based in Austin, Texas after over a year living and traveling Europe. Due to all the moving, some items might ship from outside Texas.
Where do you find your products?
I have collected for the majority of my life, scouring all corners of the globe. You can stumble on great pieces in just about anywhere - flea markets, Goodwill, thrift stores, Craigslist, on the side of the road - it's all about keeping your eyes open. The majority of my recent finds have come from three places: estate sales and auctions, international flea markets and shops, and word of mouth.
How do you determine your prices?
Some items are much easier to price than others. I look at various databases and auction house archives for sold prices on comparable items. It gets harder when you find something truly rare and there are no comparable items out there. At that point, I have the item professionally appraised.
Are your prices firm?
Not always. It really just depends on the item. Getting our products to the right people is the most important part of what we do. So if you love something posted on the site but aren't thrilled with the price - shoot us a line using the Contact page and let us know what you're willing to spend. You aren't going to hurt our feelings. If we can do better on the price, we will!
I found something I want to buy, now what?
Easy. Once you see an item that you like, add it to your cart. Next, click on the Cart icon that appears in the top right of the screen and proceed to checkout. We accept credit card and PayPal payments only. If you live in or around Austin and would like to save on shipping costs, you can select "Local Pick Up" and arrange a time to meet with me. Alternatively, you can choose to have your item shipped to you.
Do you have a brick-and-mortar location that I can visit?
Yes and no. Since relocating to Austin, I’ve begun selling out of the premier antiques/vintage store in town; Uncommon Objects. Currently working on finding the right balance of what to list and what to sell in the store.
Can you help me find a specific item?
Yes! If you have been searching for a product and can't seem to find it anywhere, you can always submit a request via the Contact page. Just let me know the details of what you need and your price range, and I will see what I can do.
