This simple and elegant illuminated globe would make a stunning addition to any room. The 12" glass orb is covered with 12 hand-applied paper gores and surrounded by a full meridian. The metal meridian sits on top of a Duncan Phyfe style wooden base.

The globe dates to 1935. At this point in history, Persia had become Iran, but Burma was still a part of India. Germany had yet to begin annexing its neighbors, although Japan had already invaded parts of China.

The globe is in spectacular condition for its age. There are no scratches, nicks or holes of note on the globe. The original cord is present and in great shape.
