Masonic Pitcher

Made in the Liverpool area of England circa 1790-1810, this elegant pitcher was used for cider and water in the Masonic Halls of America. 

The pitcher was cracked and repaired at some point. Small nick in the glazing at the base. 

The inscription reads: "The World is in pain / Our [s]ecrets to gain / And still let them / Wonder and gaze on / They ne'er can divine / The word or the [s]ign / Of a free and accepted / MASON"

Reverse side features masonic imagery and symbols.

Measures 7" x 7" at its extremes.
