Colorized Postcard of Arashiyama, Kyoto

8.00

In recent years the Arashiyama District of Kyoto has become most well known for the gorgeous bamboo forest that photographers love to explore. However, there is so much more to this region of the city including the river and its famous bridge, huge parks, ancient temples and shrines, and the foothills of the mountains.

This postcard shows a young woman walking down the path in her traditional clothing and carrying an umbrella to protect her from the sun. This scene can can still be witnessed on any given day in Kyoto!

The undated card was never sent and is in great shape as a result.
