Vintage Postcard of the Galata Bridge; Constantinople

8.00

Here is another great postcard I picked up while traveling in Turkey a few years ago. It shows one of the major bridges connecting the Old and New parts of town. Crowds of fisherman would line the sides of the bridge and sell their catches to anyone passing by. great place to get a taste of the city!

This iteration of the Galata Bridge was built in 1912 yet was sadly taken down in 2016. A modern bridge was built nearby after this one was badly damaged in a fire in the early 1990's.

The card has been stamped but never sent. Card is in good condition with minor lifting of the clear covering on the edges.

Measures 5.5" x 3.5"
