This large watercolor is filled with incredible details from the paintings hanging on the wall in the background to the pattern of the rug. The painting was done by Richard Reu (Ren?) and is signed on the front and back of the work.
I would venture to guess that this was done as a self portrait of the artist in his own studio and probably made in the late 1920's or 1930's based on clues in the work.
There is damage around the outside edges where it has been pinned up. Proper framing should mitigate these issues.
The artwork measures 33" x 24" and is mounted on fiberboard.
